• The Mexican Presidency Internet System. Apparently built as an initiative of Vicente Fox, this is an excellent source of current news and information for México (available in English or Spanish). This site features current news, information about government programs, cultural data, and even has a kids’ section. This is especially valuable as Mexican affairs tend to be underreported in US media.
     
• To find out everything you wanted to know about México (or any other country), consult the CIA’s World Factbook.
    
• Ever wish you could read a Web site that’s in another language? Use this service from AltaVista to drop in a URL and translate entire Web pages.
     
• Check out the U.S. State Department’s Travel Warnings, Consular Information Sheets, Public Announcements, and Tips for Travelers to Mexico.

• The State Government of Chihuahua’s official site. It hasn’t been around long, but it has some excellent information, including demographic data for Guerrero and some of the other towns we visited.
